Loyer raced motorcycles for 15 years, winning the 1937 250cc French Grand Prix & the 1938 350cc French Gtand Prix. He switched to cars & won the 1953 Coupe du Salon at Montlhery. In 1954, he raced a Gordini at the Argentine Grand Prix.
